We have all now been at home since the 16th March in this most unique of times. As humans, we are generally sociable and like the company of others and so this period of self-isolation and lockdown for the past 11 weeks has caused many of us to do things differently in our lives.
Where the first few days and weeks were particularly difficult, we have all got through this time in our own ways and as we begin to emerge from our own homes into the post Covid-19 era, it is time to reflect on what we have learned about ourselves; the good, the bad and the ugly.
I have realised that family are the ones I take for granted, but they are the ones I have missed the most. Not knowing when I will see them again is the hardest part of lockdown. I have also found time to rediscover my love of reading.
We are sure that those reading this will agree with many of the reflections above, but Mr Roberts’ final thought is one that we should all take away from this experience ‘It is important to reflect upon those good things that happen every day, no matter how small, and to be grateful for them.’
