Our Year 3 students have been on an exciting journey learning about food groups, balanced eating, and the health benefits of different nutrients. Last week, they put their knowledge into action with an exciting takeover at the Aramark sandwich bar. Aramark is the food service provider at BSN.
The objective of the 'Make a Healthy Sandwich' activity was to consolidate their understanding of balanced eating by crafting sandwiches that encompassed all four essential food groups - protein, carbohydrates, dairy, and vegetables. Armed with their newfound knowledge, these young learners got creative. Their sandwiches were not just visually appealing; they were packed with nutrition. It's incredible to see how much they've learned about making smart food choices!
