Two BSKL students receive medals in Mathematical Olympiads

We are delighted to announce that Joowon H and Darren C were awarded Bronze medals in UKMT Junior Maths Olympiad and UKMT Hamilton Maths Olympiad respectively. These medals are incredibly rare and mean they scored within the Top 200 students who participated worldwide. A truly impressive feat!! 

Both students have received a medal and book prize for their accomplishments. Amazing well done to our brilliant Mathematicians!

Junior Mathematical Olympiad

Prior to our summer break, 17 brilliant mathematicians in Years 7 and 8 took part in the UKMT Junior Mathematical Olympiad. This is an incredibly challenging competition that not only tests students' problem-solving abilities, but also requires a flair for mathematical reasoning and communication. 

Over the summer, the Mathematics department were delighted to receive the results of this event and wishes to congratulate the following students for their participation: Cheng Xuan C, Bryan L, Sanghyun (Sean) J, Jared L, Jun Li M, Jeeho P, Gen Hao (James) T, Branden T, and Linling (Elaine) Z. We also extend congratulations to Weikang Qand Jared Yi Young Y for achieving Certificates of Qualification. 

Special congratulations go to Aijaz A, Yee Rui L, Yee Hee (Josephine) S, and Jiyul (Ellie) L for earning a Certificate of Merit. 

Finally, we are pleased to announce that two of our students achieved the top award – the Certificate of Distinction: Joowon H and Han (Mimi) V. Amazing work by both students!
