During the event, Year 12 and Year 13 students had the opportunity to ask questions about and hear stories from the under-graduates. Ju Yi, now in her 4th year of studying Medicine at The University of Cambridge, KaYeon, studying a Molecular Bioengineering student at Imperial College London, and Sarah, pursuing Mathematics and Computer Science at Caltech, each shared their insights and experiences of university life at these prestigious universities. Their diverse academic paths offered students a unique perspective on various fields of study.
The Q&A covered a wide range of topics, from super-curricular activities to crafting personal statements and acing interviews. The alumni also spoke about the importance of joining societies at university to enhance both social and academic life, along with their experiences with applying for and completing internships at university. All students left feeling motivated and confident, with valuable advice and insights to navigate their own journeys toward higher education.
On Thursday 12th September the BSKL Sixth Form were also invited to an online presentation and Q&A with The University of Cambridge. The session was incredibly informative and gave the students an insight into the Collegiate system and small group Supervision style of learning unique to Oxbridge.
