The university representatives were hosted in the new BSKL Sixth Form Centre and were joined by a group of keen, potential Oxbridge applicants.
Inayat Patel, the University of Cambridge representative for Southeast Asia, presented to the students on the Oxbridge application process, the University of Cambridge itself, and the collegiate system, which is unique to Oxbridge. He also explained and provided the students with tips for completing the secondary ‘My Cambridge Application’.
The session was followed by a question-and-answer session, where the students noted key details on how to make their Oxbridge application to stand out. In conclusion, the university representative outlined that Cambridge are looking for a student who will be a ‘good fit’ for the University of Cambridge - a student who would be able to thrive in a research driven, rather than a taught academic, educational environment.
