Ethanol Rocket Project Winners
Over the past few weeks, the scientific curiosity of Year 7 students at BSKL have reached new heights as they embarked on an exciting science project: building ethanol rockets.

This hands-on endeavour not only allowed the students to apply their knowledge of physics and chemistry but also provided them with an opportunity to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving.

The project commenced with an introduction to the principles of rocketry and the science behind propulsion. Students eagerly explored the concept of using ethanol as a fuel source, understanding its chemical properties and its potential to generate thrust. They then proceeded to design and construct their own rockets, carefully considering factors such as aerodynamics, stability, and safety.

The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the Year 7 students throughout the project were truly commendable. They spent countless hours refining their rocket designs, conducting test launches, and meticulously recording data. Their commitment to the scientific process and their willingness to collaborate with their peers showcased their true passion for discovery.

After weeks of hard work, the moment arrived to announce the winners of the ethanol rocket science project. Their science teachers carefully evaluated the rockets' performance based on factors such as distance travelled, stability, and creativity. The top-performing students demonstrated exceptional ingenuity and scientific prowess, achieving remarkable distances with their rockets. These young scientists were recognised for their achievements and presented with well-deserved certificates and prizes, celebrating their dedication and success.
