Turkey and Syria Earthquake Relief

Item Collection for Earthquake Survivors
Our Year 5 students have been learning about refugees from their class book ‘Refugee Boy’ by Benjamin Zephaniah.  After hearing the news that Turkey and Syria had been affected by a devastating earthquake they decided to help.
Many thanks to our community who overwhelmingly answered the call for donations. We collected almost a full lorry of items in three days, which the Turkish Embassy picked up yesterday for delivery to the affected areas.
