Susan holds a BA degree in Teaching of Chinese Language & Literature, and a MA degree in Classical Chinese Literature. She is also certified as a senior teacher for high school in China.

Susan boasts a wealth of teaching experience both in China and abroad, she had taught at a university in Thailand, an international school as well as a senior high school in China before joining BSG in the year of 2010. Ever since her graduation from university in 1999, Susan has accumulated more than 20 years of practical teaching experience that spans across the board from prenursery and nursery all the way to high school teachings, including 15 years at international schools and 6 years at a domestic high school in China, she worked abroad for 5 consecutive years. Susan has not only been exceptionally excellent in teaching Chinese as the first language, but also in teaching Chinese as an additional language. What is more, she is remarkably experienced in navigating her students through GCSE courses.

Susan demonstrates extraordinary versatilities in achieving her teaching goals, she is known for motivating students’ enthusiasm in learning Chinese through the aid of various games in the classroom, she is also good at delivering sophisticated cultural values to her students through means that explains the profound in simple terms, as she does so in bridging through traditional Chinese culture to the students.

Last but not least, Susan has been extensively involved in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, she takes an enthusiastic part in festival celebrations on campus, such as the Spring Festival celebration, the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, the Dragon Boat Festival celebration, and the International Day celebration, as Susan makes use of these campus events as good opportunities to inspire her students in Chinese learning, and to popularize the essential traditional Chinese culture.
