BSG Guangzhou Scholarships 2024/25
The Secondary Performing Arts Showcase held at BSG Secondary School was a truly exceptional event that highlighted the immense talent and dedication of the students. The showcase featured a wide range of musical performances, ranging from classical orchestral pieces to contemporary musical numbers.
The opening act of the evening was the awe-inspiring performance of "Baba Yetu" by Christopher Tin, flawlessly executed by the BSG Secondary School Orchestra. The orchestra showcased exceptional unity and musicality, captivating the audience from the very first note. The musical excellence continued with a number of memorable solo performances across the Secondary School that left the audience in awe. The BSG Jazz Ensemble made their debut, infusing the atmosphere with vibrant energy as they performed the timeless classic "Summertime." Their versatile musicianship and improvisational skills enlivened the piece, creating a captivating interplay of melodies and rhythms.
Throughout the showcase, the Secondary Choir and Production enchanted the audience with their exceptional vocal harmonies and engaging stage presence. Their performance of the Avenue Q Theme Song and "Happiness" from the musical You're a Good Man Charlie Brown showcased their versatility and musicality, leaving the audience uplifted and inspired.
This Secondary Performing Arts Showcase provided a remarkable opportunity for students to showcase their musical talents and foster a love for the arts. The event truly exemplified the focus on musical excellence and the alignment with the music and drama curriculum. The dedication and hard work put forth by the students and their teachers were evident in every performance, creating an unforgettable experience for all who attended.
“Little Learners” playgroup class will start at the South Lake Early Years campus, on April 14th 2023, from 8:45-10:15 am.
BSG held a successful International Day charity event on Saturday, thanks to the hard work and dedication of supporters from across our whole school community. The event featured country stalls from Poland, China, Great Britain, Korea, China Taiwan, Ukraine, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Kuwait, and Malaysia, making it a truly diverse and inclusive affair.
Staff, parents and students have been helping with projects over the Christmas holiday and bringing joy to others.
