STEAM Room at Olympic Park

At our Olympic Park campus, we have a dedicated STEAM room. There is a wide range of resources available for students and they are encouraged to explore the room and choose activities independently during our Active Learning time. Students often build elaborate Lego buildings, do Math with OSMO on the Ipads or sit down to do crafts at the tables.

Teachers use this space as a crafting, creating, and exploring room where students can design and create things related to our topics.

The Reception Hedgehogs are currently in the process of designing their very own ‘naughty’ buses and are utilizing recycled items as well as items from our tinker and art area to execute their designs. First students found a partner, next they collaborated on a design in class, then we went to the STEAM room where the students gathered what they needed and then started working to execute their plans.
