This week primary classes enjoyed enrichment science assemblies led by the secondary Head of Science, Mr Hetherington. During the assemblies, students learned about different types of fuels and their uses and saw some amazing experiments with hydrogen and helium balloons, propanol and ethanol whoosh bottles and liquid nitrogen and 1000 ping pong balls. Year 6 also participated inscience enrichment lessons with Mr Hetherington and Mr Dillow and had a competition to create copper sulphate crystals. They learned to use Bunsen burners and were able to experience the wonders of BSG secondary science firsthand. The winners of the competition will be announced on 20th February during our Year 6 to Year 7 transition event.
