CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH PROGRAMME

This programme is run at the British School of Guangzhou on Saturday mornings, with each exam preparation course running for the duration of a year. At the end of the course, students will sit an external exam and gain a certificate from the prestigious University of Cambridge. All courses are delivered by highly experienced, native-speaking teachers who have been trained to teach a ‘Cambridge’ syllabus.

For the next academic year, we will be introducing two new courses, Pre-Starters and B1 for School including the existing courses for Starters, Movers, Flyers and A2 Key for School. These courses are available for students aged 4 to 15 years, suited for their linguistic ability and  providing a clear pathway for step-by-step progression.

Pre-Starters (4 to 5 years) – This program focuses on phonics and reading development providing a strong foundation in early literacy skills. This level is prefect for young learners beginning their English adventure, ensuring they develop confidence and a love for reading from the start.

Starters, Movers, Flyers (6 to 12 years) – These courses focus on basic vocabulary, grammar, writing simple words, paragraphs and developing reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Each level builds on the previous one, ensuring a comprehensive development of English language skills. These courses are carefully designed to be engaging and motivating, using a variety of resources to make learning English enjoyable and effective

A2 and B1 For Schools (12 to 15 years) – These courses are designed to enhance English fluency, building on existing skills and preparing students for real-world communication. These course are ideal for those aiming to achieve greater profiency and comprehension in various texts.

These courses are open to all BSG and non-BSG students.
