"Tell me more, Tell me more!" Grease - a resounding success!

This unique partnership allows our students to engage with the performing arts in a deeply creative and intellectually stimulating way, elevating their artistic experiences to new heights.

Congratulations to our incredible Grease cast and crew for putting on three unforgettable shows on 20th, 21st and 22nd March!

From the first note to the final bow, this show was a dazzling celebration of creativity, talent, and dedication. Our newly renovated theatre came alive with electrifying performances, transporting the audience into the world of Rydell High with energy, charm and pure theatrical magic.

The journey of a production is more than just rehearsals and performances. Its friendships formed, challenges overcome and memories made that will last a lifetime.

People tell me they had so much fun watching the performances, and that’s because there is so much creativity and hard work that went into this production. Students pushed themselves; challenged what they thought they thought they could do physically, experimented creatively and helped create a brilliant environment filled with positivity where anything is possible. It wasn’t a question of IF something was possible, it was always a question of HOW can we work together to make it possible.”

“Grease” has been an extraordinary experience for me. It is a show that very much depends on the impromptu reactions between the cast to create the joyful ambience of high schoolers and keep the audience engaged, and this has made me further realize the importance of a coherent cast. I believe it’s indeed the little interactions that came from spontaneous outbursts of inspiration and the chemistry between our cast that have made the show so delightful and vivid.

Grease being the fourth musical I have been involved in, I have had the opportunity to make choices in how to convey our story as a performer. Additionally, ensuring our audience had a fun time was also a priority, which needed to be balanced with making the performance meaningful: finding the perfect medium between drama and comedy is something I can work on for next year's musical.

“Grease” was such an amazing experience for me. From the amazing songs and dances, to creating friendships, to preforming onstage, everyone was there to support and uplift each other. We all learned how to take charge and be independent, while also having tons of fun.

Taking part in this year's "Grease" musical was an amazing experience, especially as a drummer in the live band. Before this, my understanding of rhythm was mainly from studio playbacks. But in the "Grease" band, I learned complex syncopations and drum beats for different types of music in the musical numbers. Also, the challenge of staying in sync with the actors was huge. During dance - heavy scenes, my beats had to match their energetic moves precisely, while in tender moments, I needed to play with softness. This experience not only refined my drumming but also made me appreciate the magic of musical theater. It's an experience I'll always treasure.

It is hard to describe my “Grease” experience. It was just surreal. The amount of love and talent within the whole cast is something I will never forget. Not only did we share so many laughs and funny moments but there were also parts where we genuinely felt supported by one another. It was hard work but the people and show made it all worth it. The songs and cast will forever be stuck in my head.
