Nursery welcomes Spring

March is a busy time in Nursery. The weather has been wonderful and the children are spending more and more time in the outdoor area. There is digging and planting and prepping the garden for our seedlings.

In our classrooms we planted beans in clear bags so we can see how they grow. We also have Flower Shop in our Role Play area. The children are using play money to buy and sell flowers and practising wrapping and folding paper. They are also ‘writing’ cards for each other to go with the flowers.

March is also our Pi Day dress up – a time when we celebrate all Maths. The children dressed up in clothes with shapes, numbers and patterns to celebrate this special day and we played special Maths games.

To add to our spring celebrations, we also had a Green Day when we all wore our favourite green clothes.

Mother’s Day is celebrated in the UK on Sunday 19^th March so the children were excited to make cards for their mothers.
