Our amazing Year 1 students took the field in Si De Park for their Sports Day on Wednesday 24th April. The sun shone brightly, smiles were wide and there was an abundance of team spirit on this day.
The children participated in 12 different activities in their House Teams, some of which required balancing skills, such as in the egg and spoon race, or aiming skills in the bean bag throw game. These activities were all designed to showcase their developing physical skills and teamwork.
Whilst there was a healthy dose of competition, the emphasis of the day was truly on participation, sportsmanship and having fun. There were cheers for classmates, high fives all around, and a tremendous sense of accomplishment for everyone involved.
The children had so much fun and they were very excited to receive their House medals at the end of the day. We can't wait to see what sporting stars they become in the future!

Year 4 recently embarked on a thought-provoking unit of work, stepping into the shoes of Rainforest Detectives to solve a serious environmental mystery, in the hope of changing the future of the rainforest.
Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do, and it extends far beyond literacy. It is transdisciplinary, meaning children naturally integrate their knowledge of phonics into storytelling, create maths stories, and weave in elements of science, curiosity, and their understanding of the world.
