Year 1 have spent the last few weeks learning all about their bodies, from the bones that make up our skeletons, to naming the different parts of our body. They then wrote a short story about what they could do at the beach and acted it out. Thankfully, no one really tripped over their helmets while biking on the beach and lost their ice cream!
Year 2 have been looking at their favourite sports and activities you could do at sport centres. Students wrote about the different sports they enjoyed doing there, as well as whether these sports required additional equipment and whether they were indoor or outdoor activities. Students also practised finding antonyms of words from the reading text and played a fun game of Bingo to practise this, led by a student-teacher of course!
Students in Year 5 opted for something more personal and created a set of questions to interview their classmates. They spent time diving into their partners’ personal lives, including their achievements and the road that brought them to it; their personalities and what they enjoy, and their future hopes and dreams. They used this information to create a short biography portraying their partners’ lives for future generations to read through when they become a famous football player, movie director or police chief.
