As part of BSB’s Upper Primary Enrichment Programme, BSB Entrepreneurs have been working hard to develop their own smoothie flavour that they will sell at school to raise money for charity towards the end of this term. So far, they have been split into 3 groups and have created a company name, logo and slogan to create publicity around their product.
Earlier this term, pupils conducted their own market research and asked pupils in Years 3-6 to complete a questionnaire that they wrote on Survey Monkey. Based on the results and feedback that they received, pupils then visited Jenny Lou’s earlier this week to buy ingredients to make sample products. They have taste tested them and will now finalise the smoothie flavour that they will sell in school.
In addition, and to publicise their product, BSB Entrepreneurs will also design billboard posters to advertise their smoothies around the school in the week leading up to them selling their products. They will also be busy writing and directing their own television advertisements that we will share with the rest of Years 3-6 in assembly later this term.

Year 4 recently embarked on a thought-provoking unit of work, stepping into the shoes of Rainforest Detectives to solve a serious environmental mystery, in the hope of changing the future of the rainforest.
Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do, and it extends far beyond literacy. It is transdisciplinary, meaning children naturally integrate their knowledge of phonics into storytelling, create maths stories, and weave in elements of science, curiosity, and their understanding of the world.
This term, Year 2 have been learning about many interesting people in our ‘What makes someone inspirational?' Topic. They have explored space pioneers, technology forerunners, civil right activists, inventors and many other inspiring individuals.
