We have been enjoying our Doctor theme together and we have all been very excited to meet ‘Mr Skeleton’ who has visited our class this week as we are learning our bodies and doing X-ray crafts for the week. We have also incorporated some doctor themed toys and pictures to introduce different tools used in hospitals and doctors rooms. This has been an amazing role play activity for our children both in pretending to be a doctor as well as a patient.
The highlight of our week was seeing how beautifully each and every Pre-Nursery child was able to follow along to our poem for the week (Miss Polly Had a Dolly) word for word and do our Makaton hand signals.
As Pre-Nursery teachers, we are so proud and delighted at seeing how wonderfully our little ones have progressed with - sitting so well, following along with the words, listening and cooperating and doing hand signals as well.
One of the main highlights of our week is our Pre-Nursery choral time together as this is always a great way of incorporating social and emotional progress for children to see all the classes participating in an activity together.

Year 4 recently embarked on a thought-provoking unit of work, stepping into the shoes of Rainforest Detectives to solve a serious environmental mystery, in the hope of changing the future of the rainforest.
Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do, and it extends far beyond literacy. It is transdisciplinary, meaning children naturally integrate their knowledge of phonics into storytelling, create maths stories, and weave in elements of science, curiosity, and their understanding of the world.
