Our first topic is 'All About Me'. We have been getting to know the children more through photos and activities.
The children have been sharing photos of their families and talking about who is important to them. We have been looking in detail at features of our body. Using the mirrors, we looked at our eyes, nose, mouth, ears and hair and the children were able to make their own paper plate faces.
The children brought in photos of their family and people who are important to them and shared them with each other and talked about who was special to them. The photos will be added to Family Trees in the classroom, so the children are able to see them throughout the day and tell their friends all about their families!
We have also been talking about houses and places that people might live. We looked at a variety of houses, flats, farms and bungalows! We made our own houses through construction and drawing.
As we continue through the week, we will be looking at senses and feelings!
