Join Our Open Morning
This week in Performing Arts we have started to learn a new assembly song 'Be Kind Online'.
Absolutely all Primary students, Year 1 to Year 6, were introduced to the song since it delivers such an important message about being considerate and staying safe when using the internet.
And whilst the younger children were absolutely impressed with an infectious beat and catchy rhythm patterns, the older, upper KS2 students worked hard to create some very fun and inspiring hand actions and even small partner choreographies that helped us all memorise the lyrics, understand the harmony in three parts, syncopated rhythm and sing in minor key.
Since the effectiveness of the song depends on a good grasp of the rhythm and how the parts fit together, we will make sure that we focus on keeping the rhythm tight and the words clipped in our practices next week.
