It has been a great week for learning new vocabulary in EAL. Students learned new concepts by engaging in a variety of activities that built teamwork skills and risk-taking abilities.

In Year 3, students have been learning all about countries around the world. After listening and singing to the song Like Me and You, children demonstrated their knowledge about flags and used their speed and accuracy skills to play a quiz on objects related to different countries. During our writing activities, they have been doing an excellent job of increasing their self-editing skills through our check and change method, which is a significant improvement.

Having finished our last topic 'Off We Go', in which we explored methods of transportation, Year 3 have now started their new topic, 'Sports Club', where they discussed their favourite sports with their friends. Our main activity was playing a mime game that reinforced our learning and encouraged speaking. We had lots of fun trying to guess the sport with everyone joining in this super fun activity.
