Nursery and Reception students enjoyed a fabulous time learning about and celebrating Christmas. We sang the song, “Santa Claus is coming to town,” in Chinese! We built a Christmas tree with Legos and built a snowman while blindfolded.
Year 1 Non-Native group learned about the fruits. They had lots of fun practicing vocabulary and sentences through a variety of activities. We blindfolded students who then had to feel various fruits and guess what they were. So much fun!
Year 2, Year 4 and Year 5 students reviewed this week. We reviewed material from the entire term. The students engaged in a variety of activities and games to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing. We played “Go, Go, Freeze!” and “Hide and Seek,” as well as making our pocket vocabulary books.
Year 6 learned to describe personal appearances, such as curly hair, thin and fat, ugly and beautiful. They worked in teams to draw a pictures of people from the class, write sentences and guess who the people are. The children worked well in teams to complete the tasks. I’m so proud of these children!
