Over the last couple of weeks Year 3 have been making Egyptian Death Masks.
The children found out that these were used in the mummification process after the Ancient Egyptians had died, and the type of material the masks were made from reflected the persons wealth. The children have been thoroughly enjoying the creative process! To make the masks, the children first covered a balloon in papier-mâché to create the shape of the face before decorating it with bright eye-catching paint, such a gold and rich blues. The children have had a lot of fun and are really proud of their masks!
