Children in all Chinese classrooms have experienced another busy and active week.
Reception children were learning about Pirates. Children in non-native group have designed their own treasure maps. They also built their pirate ship with Lego. When they finished their work, they tried their best to say them in Chinese. They have been practiced their Fluent Thinking skills.
Year 1 Lama Temple children are in their process if learning “pinyin”, a useful tool to help them to read Chinese characters and stories. They have tried varied activities to practice their spelling and reading skills. Children are very proud that they can read some chants with the help of “pinyin”.
Year 6 Lama Temple students learned a fable story about deer’s horn and legs. They discussed which was more important, beauty or utility. They also role played this story to understand the story in depth.
