He’s always there for you when the chips are down. He’s the superhero with eyes everywhere—and he’s about to meet his arch nemesis, Evil Pea!
As part of our ‘Amazing Us’ topic we are learning about body parts and how to keep them healthy. Who could be better at helping us to learn about that than Supertato! We have been describing the vegetables from the story this week in Literacy by making a ‘Wanted’ poster for Evil Pea, and the fun didn’t stop there!
The Reception have had a great week; creating super vegetables in the art area, retelling the story in our investigation tray and using their muscles to scrub different vegetables in the water tray. Our fine motor skills have improved by using scissors to cut giant spring onions and rolling balls to make our own Evil Peas on the playdough table. We have learnt the name of some interesting vegetables, like radish, leek and peppers. It been a great opportunity to try our word making on our learning wall using the magnetic letters too.
Its incredible the progress our amazing Reception children have made this year and it is amazing to see them writing sentences about Evil Pea and Supertato on the Literacy walls too and during their independent activities. We think they’re Super kids!
