Join Our Open Morning
Here, at BSB Sanlitun, we are very proud of all our pupils who took part in the Virtual Young Musician of the Year 2021 competition, on Global Campus.
It was wonderful seeing these performances and watching our students share their wonderful talents with the wider musical family of Nord Anglia. We were especially impressed with the range of ideas and all the support given from our lovely BSB Sanlitun parents. However, our biggest bows must go to our 16 performers, listed below:
Aileen, Y3 Hornbills, piano
Alex, Y6 Eagles, piano
Ann, Y5 Kookaburras, piano
Charlie, Y4 Kingfishers, voice
Charlie, Y3 Parrots, piano
Daniel, Y5 Flamingos, piano
Ephraim, Y6 Falcons, voice
Isabelle, Y5 Pelicans, piano
Juna, Y3 Macaws, violin and voice
Kaho, Y3 Hornbills, piano
Leah, Y4 Storks, piano
Leo, Y3 Hornbills, piano
Marco, Y5 Flamingos, piano
Marcus, Y2 Pandas, piano

…and while we’re waiting for the Juilliard and NAE judges to choose the winners of different categories, we’d like to share some of their top tips, given to our young musicians, in order to secure a successful submission and best quality performances:
“Play musically and have fun!” - Kathryn Anderson-Day, Juilliard Curriculum Specialist.
“Perfection doesn’t exist in the arts…You can’t let perfect be the enemy of good.” - Jono Waldman, Juilliard Curriculum Specialist.
