Year 5 and Year 6 have started playing Ultimate Frisbee this week. Luckily, we have an expert on our hands, with new PE teacher Mr Zhang having played at a high level for many years.
The children practiced holding the frisbee with the correct grip and catching with two hands, using the 'pancake' catch. There was excellent frisbee throwing and catching all around. We even had an exciting frisbee shooting competition at the end. Ultimate Frisbee does not require a referee but instead relies on the sportsmanship of players and invoking the 'Spirit of the Game' to maintain fair play. We love this because sportsmanship is so important to us!
I can’t wait to see what the next few weeks of Ultimate Frisbee have in store.
