In Year 3, we have been creating storyboards of our book The Egyptian Cinderella. We worked as a class to identify the key plot points of the story and tied them together with sentence openers and conjunctions. Once we were confident with the story, we created our own independent story boards, but innovated them by altering parts of the story. We changed the main characters and the precious object of the story in order to make it our own.
William innovated his story by changing Rhodopis to Ben who has jet black hair and deep blue eyes instead of blonde hair and green eyes. Also, he had a precious bottle stolen by an eagle which was different to the original story.
Isabel used her fluent thinking to brainstorm different ideas for her innovated story. She included lots of details in her drawings, such as scenery and the emotions of the characters in order to inform her story writing next week.
