This week in Chinese class the students enjoyed a fabulous time learning about and celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival, one of China’s most important festivals!
The children got their hands dirty making traditional festival pastries called moon cakes, painting pictures and making other handicrafts that symbolise the festival. We sang songs and listened to stories about Mid-Autumn festival while enjoying the art and culture that accompanies it. Remember to look at the sky this weekend and sing a song every time you see the moon! Happy Mid-Autumn festival! “Zhong qiu kuai le!”
