In Year 2 this week, the children have had a fantastic time learning the poem “The Owl and the Pussycat” by Edward Lear.
The children learnt the poem using Talk for Writing. This consisted of the children thinking of pictures and actions, which they used to help them learn it off by heart.
The children then innovated the poem and wrote their own version. Watch out Rudyard Kipling as BSB has some amazing poets!!
