The children in Tadpoles are developing their friendships with their peers.
Initially at this age, children often take part in solitary play (playing by themselves), moving onto parallel play (playing alongside others) and then associative play where they become more interested in playing with others.
They are learning many important skills through all of these stages of play, such as: entertaining themselves, social skills, cooperation, problem solving, language development and sharing/taking turns.
It is wonderful to see the children’s friendships blossom as well as their confidence when interacting with others.
