Over the last 9 weeks, children at BSB Sanlitun have had the opportunity to attend a Karate ASA. Miss Perry led the ASA and shared the karate skills she had learnt in England.

Most of the children attending the ASA had never experienced a martial art before, so they had to be very resilient and brave. The children learnt a variety of skills such as punching, kicking and different stances. They even learnt their first Kata, ‘X Kata number 1’. In the last ASA session, the parents were invited to watch and the children showed them everything they had learnt. The parent’s even got to join in towards the end of the session!

The Karate ASA has been very successful and we look forward to continuing the sessions in the Spring Term.
