In Pre-Nursery this week, we have been thinking about how we can recycle and reuse ‘rubbish’ to create something new as part of the whole school Curious Cities project.
It was lovely to see the children so eager and happy to be back at school on Monday. KS1 began the week with a whole school assembly launch of our new topic Curious Cities. This inspired the children when they were back in class, to ask some big questions about their local environment.
This week is Computer Science Education Week and children across the school from Reception all the way up to Year 6 are participating in the Hour of Code.
As well as taking part in the International Day parade and visiting all the stalls in the gym, Key Stage 1 had a very busy Thursday visiting 4 countries along the Year 1 and Year 2 corridors!
One of the most enjoyable events of our Nursery calendar is when we invite our parents to come and along to our classrooms and stay and play with their children.
The Parents’ Association invites you to join us for the PA Quiz Night on Thursday 20th October. It will undoubtedly be a fun (and slightly competitive) evening!
Following on from the U9 success, it was now the turn of the Y5/6 children to showcase their talents at the U11 JISAC Invitational Football Tournament at the Beijing City International School (BCIS).
The Year 6 children had a very special event this week, celebrating their graduation from primary school ready for a new chapter in their life at secondary school in August.
Throughout the Summer term all four classes in Reception have participated in swimming. The impact on the children can be seen throughout their learning.
