Moving to Lincoln Park

News Default Image

In Lincoln Park Chicago's motto, "urbs in horto" — or "City in a Garden," truly comes to life. Historic churches and handsome brick row houses nestled within landmark districts sit next to peaceful parks, while quiet, tree-lined residential areas give way to bustling business corridors. The location of our school provides easy access to families living in the Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Bucktown, Wicker Park, West Town, Gold Coast, West Loop, and Roscoe Village neighborhoods to name a few.

Learn more about Lincoln Park and surrounding neighbordhoods in our BISC-LP Relocation Handbook - a guide compiled by current BISC-LP parents to introduce you to the vibrant area around our school and the Chicagoland area as a whole. It provides recommendations for where to buy groceries, how to plan a children’s birthday party, and much more. | View Here

A Welcome Arrival for All New Students

From your family's first contact with British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park, you are welcomed into the community and guided through every step of getting to know the school.

Your child will:

  • Join us for a day of activities and lessons, and spend the day with their peers in a classroom.
  • Be paired with a buddy who will lead them through the day and show them the ropes.
  • Become part of one of the four Houses in our house system, a whole-school approach to self-motivation that includes team building, camaraderie, and friendly competition.

Our caring school community is a diverse group comprised of local and international families. We admit new families to the school year-round, and our teachers and students are accustomed to making incoming students feel welcome and accepted.
