Olivia C. started skating right before she turned four years old. Fast forward rive years and her rigorous weekly routine now entails skating 5-6 days a week with early morning pratices 4 days a week! Her conditioning program also includes 3-4 times a week of off ice practices, and once a week of yoga, pilates and ballet/jazz. All of these efforts complement the skating and prevent injuries.
Last month, Olivia put her hardwork and skills to the test at the 46th Annual Ladybug Figure Skating competition. It was her first time in the preliminary level and using the International Judging System consisting of a panel of 8 judges. All of her discipline and dedication paid off with a 1st Place win!
Next, Olivia has her sights set on competing in the US Figure Skating competitions. In order to qualify, the skaters have to take tests. Olivia has passed the juvenile moves in the field test and hoping to take the intermediate level next month! Her drive and determination will surely get her where she wants to be. The BISC Lincoln Park community celebrates this recent accomplishemnt and wishes her continued success on the ice!
