Caroline Marhin joined the BISC Lincoln Park Campus this fall as our school librarian.
Last month, BISC-LP held its first Holiday Book Fair. It was a great success, and we are so thankful to all the families that attended!
Over the course of four days we sold over $10,000 worth of books, including books donated to classrooms and the library. We also had 14 parent and student volunteers who generously donated their time to run the fair. The interest and support far surpassed our original goal-- and it means that Scholastic will return half of the profit back to the school for new books!
Most importantly, the fair got students excited about reading right before winter break. There were many new series and titles to explore. What better way to encourage reading outside of class than with a fresh new book!?
Thank you,
Caroline Marhin
