After 3 years, the BritCham Fun Run is back!

Tie up those laces and get ready to sport your Union Jack T-shirt - the BritCham Fun Run is back! It’s been 3 years since BIS HCMC participated and sponsored the event and we can’t wait to cross the finish line once again. BIS HCMC will once again be a diamond sponsor of the event, with 1000 places for our BIS community. We’ve had over 300 sign ups so far, so gather your team and register soon! This year we are lucky that the run will take place in District 2 at Sala.

The charity fun run first began in 2000 and has since raised 12 billion VND for charities across Vietnam with 120,000 participants joining the race over the years. BritCham (formerly BBGV) have previously worked with a number of charities across Vietnam, including Saigon Children’s Charity, The Christina Noble Foundation and Blue Dragon’s Children Foundation.

Highlights of our 2019 Fun Run

The event is the perfect opportunity to give back to the beautiful country we all call home, while improving your physical fitness too. The 5km run is family friendly and there will be a number of fun activities both before and after in the Fun Run village, to help boost your runner’s high.

As this year marks our 25th Anniversary, we will be releasing an exclusive 25th anniversary shirt! If you would like to celebrate 25 years of BIS HCMC with us you can order a new shirt in the registration form.

Event details:

Venue: Sala, M2 Zone, Hoang The Thien Street, off Mai Thi Tho, D2, - opposite Sarina Apartment building, (Location map and details of parking below)
Detailed Schedule:

6:30am: Fun Run Village opens – start and finish line from the Village
6:45am: Opening remarks and performances
6:50am: Join us for BIS group photos at our BIS Booths (map below)
7:10am: Warm Up
7:20: Runners make their way to the start line
7:30am: Run starts (The start line will close 30 mins after the run starts)
8:00am: Fun Run Village activities
9:00am: Performances & Awards (including our BIS Jazz Quintet)
10:00am: Lucky Draw
10:30am – Fun Run village closes

• Secure parking across from the Fun Run Race Village will be provided for a small fee.
• Parking Address: N5 street, Sala City, Thu Duc city.
• Water stations and medical facilities will be located around the 5k run course.
• A selection of food & drink vendors, activities and performances within the Fun Run Race Village
