Welcome back. This week we have a joint update for the two primary campuses as we have some exciting developments that we would like to share with you about our new BIS website.
Introducing Our New Website!
After many months of hard work, we are very pleased to introduce our BIS community to our brand new website with a refreshed look and feel. You will still have access to all of the information you had before but in a more organised format. We want to improve your experience on our site and help you find everything you need in one place - that place is the new and improved Parent Essentials, where you can find event calendars, CCA information, lunch menus, parent handbooks, links to parent portals and important documents, PTG information and more!
We also have a dedicated news page where you can see our weekly updates from headteachers and view our latest blogs!
To help you adjust to our new layout we’ve created this guide to help you navigate through the new website: Introduction to Our New Website
A few things to keep in mind:
-
Any old links that you have saved will now be redirected to the most appropriate place on the new website.
-
To ensure that you can access the new website clearly, we recommend that you clear your browser cache (you can do this in most browsers by opening your history and clearing the browser data).
-
Please note that while the website is now live, we are still in the process of optimisation over the next few weeks.
If you have any questions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you.

This week, the MFL department hosted a coffee morning for Y5 and Y6 parents to share more information on the Y5 and Y6 curriculum, our expectations and how you can support your child in their language learning journey.
In case you missed the opportunity to attend, please find the presentation here, with all the relevant information.

Sports Report
U9 V AIS
What a fantastic first match for our U9 girls and boys! The excitement of getting a playing shirt and going away to another school did not deter them from a top performance! They showed superb courage and determination to come away with some great results.
Unfortunately, AIS did not have a full girls' team but this did not stop our BIS girls, they showed some fantastic defending skills and had many chances at goal but unfortunately, AIS hit the back of the net a few more times and came away with the win. This game has shown us that we are more than ready for the SISAC championships next week, well done girls!
The U9 boys travelled to AIS with two teams for the fixture, which is a reflection of the fantastic level of interest and participation within the age group. The boys produced two dominant displays of football, creating some beautifully worked opportunities as a team and taking their chances when they had to. Thank you to the team of travelling supporters who helped to create such an enjoyable atmosphere.
U11 V AIS
BIS Team U11 A Boys did it again, this time beating AIS with a score of 5-1. With a slow start and a 1-1 score in the 1st half, they rallied back in the 2nd and scored 4 more goals with lots of on-the-goal shots throughout the remaining minutes of the games. It was our third friendly match this term and one more coming before the most awaited City Championship in the fortnight.
Our U11 Boys B team put out a strong performance against a visiting AIS team. Well done to both teams who played with wonderful spirit in a thrilling fixture. Final score 3-1 to BIS.
The U11 C team won 5 – 0 (BIS – AIS) , goals by Pratyush, Nate, Dat, ShiO, Ethan. Well played to all, especially the defenders who made sure that AIS never got a chance to shoot!
