This year’s Junior Summer Concert was a wonderful event, with the theme ‘Music Makes the World Go Round’, and featuring music from different cultures around the world.
From Irish folk songs to African medleys, the junior students gave spectacular performances throughout the whole concert.
The concert began with the School of Rock and Drumming Club performing two songs and rousing the audience with a great rendition of Twist and Shout. Other particular standout moments from the show were the MP2 Choir singing ‘Sakura’ so beautifully, the Orchestra performing ‘Gangnam Style’ with great gusto and the MP3 and Harmony Choirs singing a powerful arrangement of ‘Something Inside So Strong’.
The concert ended with all of our performers on stage singing ‘Love Train’, a song which encompassed the theme of the concert in promoting the values we hold at BIS of being ‘Global Citizens’. This concert certainly showed us that our diversity only makes us stronger as a team. Well done to all of our young musicians for making this such a memorable occasion.
