From sausage rolls to samosas, fairy bread to curry puffs, papaya salad to crepes, bubble tea to sushi, every taste was catered for once more at our Primary Global Café 2018.

It was a wonderful occasion of parents coming together to celebrate and share their ‘little bit of home’ with students and parents.
With 23 countries represented, the stalls spanned the continents. Each stall was decorated to represent the individual countries bringing the Junior Campus Gym to life. We had music from each country playing in the background enabling those visiting to be transported around the world in just minutes!
The atmosphere in the Gym was so warm. I was so proud of our parent community as they mingled with one another, manned stalls to help each other out and made new friends along the way.

One of the many positives from the event was the minimal use of plastic and the zero use of ‘single use plastic’. As part of our commitment to eliminate the use of single use plastic, all children and teachers brought their own lunchboxes. We effectively kept over 3,000 pieces of single use plastic items out of the gym this year and we hope to have raised awareness with students and parents. Thanks to all for supporting this initiative.
I would encourage all parents to get involved next year. My sincere thanks to all those who took time from their busy schedules to be part of this event and in particular the Global Café Committee led by Lily and including, Elinor, Andy, Adrian, Gayatri and Leanne.
Our school is incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful an active PTG.
