Another wonderful week of home learning in Phase 2

Amanda 4B March 3rd Pointilism Art
Another wonderful week of home learning in Phase 2 Teachers have been incredibly impressed by the effort taken and progress made across Year 3 and 4 this week. It has been another wonderful week of home learning.

Teachers have been incredibly impressed by the effort taken and progress made across Year 3 and 4 this week. It has been another wonderful week of home learning.

In Year 3, the children have been learning about the difference between commands and questions and have been writing sentences using a variety of punctuation. In Maths, the children have been learning about the properties of 3D shapes and sorting shapes using Venn and Carroll Diagrams. The children have enjoyed learning a range of balances in P.E. and the teachers have enjoyed seeing the children in some interesting positions!

In Year 4, the children have undertaken a range of different creative writing challenges. They have shown their ability to begin sentences with adverbs, alternative verbs and subordinate clauses as well as adding interest to their writing with the use of similes and varied sentence length. In Maths, the children have been learning about the properties of triangles and applying this knowledge in the creation of diagrams and pieces of art. The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about Pointillism and have created some wonderful pointillist works of art.

We wish all of the children in Phase 2 a restful holiday and look forward to seeing them soon!
