Admissions are now open for 2025/2026
I absolutely love this term! It’s the perfect time to embrace the outdoors and enjoy a wide range of events and experiences, all while making the most of the ideal weather. This week alone, we’ve kicked off with our induction for new parents and students, the Duathlon and Community BBQ, and the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition. Looking ahead, our students will take part in exciting sporting events like BSME and our own internal sports days. With trips, student leadership conferences, STEAM events, and so much more planned, this term promises to be truly unforgettable!
The term really is packed!
For our staff, this term is equally vibrant, with numerous opportunities for professional development that continue to enhance their teaching. They will have the chance to attend the Abu Dhabi Teaching Conference, which we are hosting, as well as the BSME Conference and the NA Teaching and Learning Conference, held at our sister school on Reem Island this year.
For parents, there are many workshops and opportunities to learn about how subjects are taught, how you can support your child, and to connect with others through our community group events and coffee mornings. We also look forward to the blessed time of Ramadan—a period for reflection, connection across our community, and celebration of the good in our lives.
It truly is shaping up to be a fantastic term ahead, and I am filled with joy and gratitude for the shared commitment to giving our best to ensure that each and every child has a rich and meaningful journey that adds value to their lives.
Happy New Year, everyone!

During my time as a headteacher and school leader, I have worked with many Muslim families and colleagues in the UK who observe the holy month of Ramadan. However, this is the first time I’ve lived and worked in a Muslim country, and I wanted to learn more about the importance of this special time of year - especially since The President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has declared 2025 as the Year of Community - and Ramadan is such an important time for the community.

Belief is a powerful force. As educators, we see daily how a student’s confidence - whether strong or fragile - shapes their learning journey. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, or on stage, students thrive when they believe in their ability to succeed. As a Drama teacher, I often see this in action - students stepping outside their comfort zones, taking risks, and growing in confidence. But this idea extends far beyond Drama; it is fundamental to education as a whole.
Inspired by the latest Nord Anglia INSIGHTS article exploring why the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education, we know that a child’s most significant learning happens during this time - in ways that are not always immediately visible.
