A growing number of universities worldwide, including in the UAE, are accepting the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.

BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business
BTEC Business is a dynamic and practical programme designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge for success in the world of business. Through a hands-on approach, students explore key concepts such as marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, and management, gaining valuable insights into real-world business operations. With a focus on practical application and vocational readiness, BTEC Business prepares students for a variety of career paths in business and entrepreneurship.
The BTEC course covers the key areas of Business Management, including Finance, Human Resources, Operations and Marketing. For the full two-year course, students will study a total of 15 units based on the different areas of Business. Alongside their BTEC, students are stimulated to also undertake the IB’s Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS), which will develop students as a whole person and encourages them to foster their own individual talents.
Units are assessed internally with no external examinations. The units are assessed using a variety of methods including research projects, presentations, reports and role plays throughout the year. Each unit is made up of between one and three assignments, all of which have specific deadlines which must be met.
