Name and a little bit about you:
Hi, my name is Wooree, and I am one of the Admissions Officers at BIS Abu Dhabi.
How long have your children been at BIS Abu Dhabi?
I have a daughter named Isabella in FS2 and it's her second year in the school. She is really looking forward to starting Year 1 in August!
Where is “home” for you?
I am originally from Korea, but I moved to London, England when I was 12 years old, and I studied there as well. In 2009 I moved to Abu Dhabi.
What do you do in Abu Dhabi?
I love food and enjoy discovering different restaurants and cuisines, and I also go to the theme parks very often as my daughter really enjoys them. I am very interested in Art and visit the Louvre Museum very often with my daughter as she also enjoys participating in the kids’ activities offered at the Museum.
What brought you to Abu Dhabi?
I initially moved here due to a job opportunity as I was offered a job with Etihad Airways as a Cabin Crew which was a job I had always dreamt of. I worked for Etihad for 5 years, and after having my daughter decided to leave and make time for family.
What is your favourite thing about being a part of the BIS Abu Dhabi community?
I love the generosity and kindness of the community; we all take care of each other which is a wonderful attribute.
What tips or advice would you give to new families joining BIS Abu Dhabi?
The education offered and the staff are honestly wonderful, the school is well structured, and offers great facilities such as the Falcon Sports Academy which many schools do not have. I believe the quality of the school is represented highly through the results achieved by students such as the IB results. I strongly recommend new families to take part in the events organised as well!
What do you enjoy most about living in Abu Dhabi?
I love the fact that it is an extremely safe city, and it’s a great hub to travel anywhere around the world!
