Throughout this past academic year, the Year 10 Business students at St Andrews International School Bangkok learnt plenty in their course. To conclude the year, they had the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice at the annual STA Business Fair. This event allowed the students to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit by creating and selling a range of products, as well as making some extra spending money for the summer.
STA Business Fair 2024
Not only was the Business Fair a fun and exciting event, it was also a challenging and rewarding experience for the students. Throughout the academic year, these students have been studying various business theories and concepts, and the fair provided them with the perfect opportunity to apply the knowledge they have acquired in a real-world setting. From marketing and pricing strategies to customer service and sales techniques, the students had to think on their feet and make smart decisions to ensure business success.
We were truly delighted with the enthusiasm and effort that the Year 10 students put into making the Business Fair a success. The range of products on display was diverse and impressive. The event saw creativity, initiative, and brilliant teamwork as the students worked together to set up their stalls, attract customers, and make sales.
Experiential learning
One of the most valuable aspects of the Business Fair was the opportunity for the students to learn from their experiences. They were able to see firsthand how their decisions impacted their sales and profitability, for many a first taste of what it takes to run a business. These practical skills and knowledge will no doubt serve them well in their future studies and careers.
