Year 7 artists have been creating strange hybrid beasts. Here are some examples.
Year 7 Art students at St Andrews International School Bangkok have been working on some imaginative watercolour paintings of mythical beasts. They have invented them on their own by taking different parts of different animals and combining them. They have then imagined where their beasts may live and painted mysterious landscape backgrounds.
This week’s Artist of the Week goes to a group! Lena, Suhavi, Mimi and Merika of 9E designed and made this wonderful paper kimono using batik motifs derived from traditional Japanese art.
With the goal of providing meaningful help to the flood victims in the northern regions of Thailand, our entire community at St Andrews Bangkok came together to raise funds and donations for the affected families. In the span of a few short weeks, added to donations of food and clothing, we managed to raise an astounding total of 386,676.50 THB in donation funds. To all students, teachers, parents, and staff who participated in our efforts and contributed to this cause—thank you!
