Welcome to Term 3!
Our Songkran celebrations were a great way to end Term 2 and to (start to) say goodbye to Year 13. I hope that you have all had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday since then.
The school is very quiet today, with the Year 13, and Year 11, students now on Study Leave, before their IBDP and IGCSE exams begin next week. Lunchtime today was also very calm, as Year 9 have now joined Years 10 and 12 in the 12:30 - 1:30 lunchtime, meaning that all of the Year groups benefit from shorter queues and more space, both in the Canteen and on the field etc.
This week is Community Action Week in the High School, with the Year 12 Sustainability Group organising different eco-friendly products and workshops (Bangkok Soap Opera, Courageous Kitchen, Grin Green, Superbee and Zero Waste Thailand) to take place each day.
Next week is one of the highlights of every school year in the High School, the High School Production. There are still some tickets available for the two evening performances of Bugsy Malone, on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
These events and many others taking place during Term 3 are shown on the “highlights” calendar below, on the school’s full Google Calendars, available on Moodle (accessible via http://calendar.standrews.ac.th/), and on this pdf version.
As you can see, it is going to be another very busy term, made even busier by three long weekends. As these mean that we will have significantly fewer Mondays than other days, students will have their usual Monday lessons on Wednesday 8th May and Thursday 23rd May. ECAs will still take place on the correct days, according to the separate ECA Calendar that has already been emailed to parents.
I look forward to seeing you at many of these events. Have a great Term 3!

As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
