We have finally reached the end of yet another successful year at St Andrews International School Bangkok. It’s time to reflect on everything we have achieved as a school community and look forward to next year. There is still the second-hand uniform sale at Primary School on Tuesday so pop by in the morning and grab a bargain for next year.
It’s hard to believe that we are already at the end of the school year – time flies past and as our children grow, the years seem to pass by in the blink of an eye. We have had such a great year – working together to build on the sense of community at St Andrews. Some highlights were two International Days and two Christmas Fairs (both of which battled unexpected torrential rain storms) and another amazing Fun Day. Our parents’ activities are still going strong and are set to expand and develop next year, thanks to the generosity of school in allowing us to use space on campus. The PTG Summer Party was a fantastic end to the year with parents and teachers celebrating everything we have accomplished
We haven’t stopped our efforts to help the community – there will be a sale of second-hand uniform at Primary School tomorrow, Tuesday 26 June 2018, from 07.15 a.m. until 11.00 a.m. in front of the Year 6 quad. We will hold another sale at the start of next year so if you have uniform that you no longer need and that is still in good condition, please send it into school and we can sell it on. Proceeds from the sale of second-hand uniform are donated to the Baan Dek Foundation in Chiang Mai.
At the moment we do not have much stock of High School Uniforms but we will certainly hold a second-hand uniform sale at High School after the holidays if we receive some donations.
There are big plans for the Lost and Found and Second-hand uniform – look out for a new location and more opening hours after the holiday.
It just remains for me to thank everyone who has been involved in the work of the PTG this year. The Committee works tirelessly all year round and many, many parents get involved and volunteer at events. It is wonderful to see our community thrive and I hope that together we can make it even better next year.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
Congratulations to St Andrews senior student Natalie, who received an offer at the University of Bath to pursue a degree in Psychology. Have a read to learn more about Natalie’s perspective on the IB Diploma Programme and the endless possibilities that await her exploration.
Congratulations to senior student Ananya, who received an offer at University College London to pursue a degree in Politics and International Relations. We discussed her experience during the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews and her ideas and aspirations for the future. Read on!
Congratulations to St Andrews senior student Eleonore, who is off to Glion Institute of Higher Education to pursue a degree in Business. Have a read to learn more about Eleonore’s IB Diploma journey, unique learning experience, and what she looks forward to the most in her next chapter.
