Dear Parents,
Community Day is fast-approaching. It is on Saturday, 4 February 2017 from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The day is shaping up to be great fun.
There are two entry prices: the black bracelet costs 500 baht and allows free access to all the rides and many of the other activities. The white bracelets cost 100 baht and are for entry only. There will be some games and activities being organized by some senior students and these are not included in the bracelet cost. The money these students are raising will help fund their trips to Tanzania for Nord Anglia’s Citizenship Expedition or to Indonesia to join Operation Wallacea.
Raffle tickets were sent home on Friday. Please sell as many as you can. Money and ticket stubs should be returned to Accounts in the School Office. You can collect more tickets there as well if you are able to sell extra. Any unsold tickets should also be returned to Accounts as they can be redistributed.
Please remember to hold on to your ticket stubs as only the top prizes will be drawn on Community Day. There will be many other prizes to be won and these will be drawn after the event and a full list of winners will be published in the Newsletter and posted at the School Office.
Community Day is the only PTG fund-raising event of the year and without your participation, we cannot continue to support our students and the wider STA community.
There will be a PTG meeting this Wednesday, 25 January 2017 at 08.00 a.m. in the Exam Room (top floor of the R building/Library building).
We have a packed agenda for you. We will be joined by a parent who is a positive psychologist and she will give you a brief overview of her areas of expertise and we can explore the possibility of organizing some coffee mornings to address issues of common interest. Other issues that have been raised by parents are: the problem of cars with their engines running in the car park; the use of mobile phones in High School; the new format of the Newsletter; feedback on ECA and swimming sign-ups; and feedback on school photos.
Please join us on Wednesday and have your opinion count.
Thank you.
