Our garden area at school was recently turned into an archaeology site for Year 3s hunting for dinosaur bones.
Today saw the FS1 students start to arrive and join the school. They were greeted by Ms Isla and her team and taken with their parents to the wonderful FS1 area where they played and got familiar with the surroundings.
I hope this message finds you well and full of excitement about the start of a brand new academic year. It was great to see our school buzzing with life once again as students, with faces both familiar and new, filling the hallways, classrooms, playgrounds, and learning spaces.
The Year 3 students had their Expo last week to show their parents all the work they had been doing on their topic of The Rainforest.
This year's FOBISIA Primary Poetry Competition invited students in Key Stage 2 to write poems around the theme 'Where I Go'. They could interpret this in any way they wished. There were two categories: Years 3&4 and Years 5&6.
Year 2 students opened the morning by performing some fantastic songs capturing the spirit of the Expo. They showed their parents all they have learnt about the tropical minibeasts that live around us.

The cast and crew have been working tirelessly all year to make this wonderful show come to life with incredible costumes, wonderful scenery and amazing acting and singing. The dates of the performances are Tuesday, 24 May 2023, Wednesday, 25 May 2023 and Thursday, 26 May 2023.
Last week we launched our first SuSTEAMability week. It was a fantastic experience that all the staff and students enjoyed. Students got involved in a wide range of sustainable projects.
